What makes a hero?
A new book 'With Great Power: The Marvelous Stan Lee", by Annie Hunter Erikson and Illustrated by Lee Gatlin, tells the life story of the comic book storyteller who introduced us to Black Panther.
Black Panther is the first superhero of African Descent in mainstream American comics.
What is interesting about this picture book are the influence behind Lee's creation of superheroes. Stan Lee grew up reading Frankenstein and Mythology helping him imagine characters who take on the responsibility of heroism. Lee's message through his characters was to stand up for what is right.
Also included in this post are some of the Black Panther series titles.
