Dance benefits boys by giving a total body workout, self expression, team building, music appreciation, discipline, focus, and self-confidence. Dance is also a literacy. It involves understanding, communicating, and expression. It also encompasses viewing, listening, reading, speaking, and writing to comprehend dance knowledge. Those are just a few ways dance benefits as another form of literacy for boys. Normalize and expose ALL dance to Black boys and young Black men. The next Alvin Ailey or Michael Peters awaits us! |
