A research article, report, and news story featuring @mahoganybooks address this urgent crisis. Free access to libraries doesn't remedy this scenario either. The Urban Education article states "...this national survey found that only 8% of low-income families reported having taken advantage of library resources." How can libraries think out outreach differently? There are numerous community advocates, like @brotherswithbooks (interview and podcast in bio link) who are addressing the problem locally.
